Matthieu Ricard and Alexandre Jollien

Public Conference - Matthieu Ricard and Alexandre Jollien
Altruism : from individual to society transformation
25 september 2011 at 8.30 PM
Théâtre du Léman (Quai du Mont-Blanc 19)
Geneva - Switzerland
In a full "Theater of the Leman" by the Lake of Geneva, Matthieu Ricard and Alexandre Jollien shared their views and experiences on the broad theme of altruism.
For Alexander Jollien, altruism is essentially unconditional love, detachment and lack of fixation.
Matthieu Ricard proposed to cultivate this benevolent love (from the Latin "bene volens" which means wish for good) naturally present in everyone, and gradually extend to all sentient beings.
In conclusion, the public was invited to a short meditation.
Part of the benefits of the conference will go towards humanitarian projects of the association Karuna-Shechen.
